Amazon Products That Actually Save You Money
I used to always go for the cheapest products, without really thinking about how long they would last, or if they were a good deal for the quality.
This year, I made it my goal to start investing in the items that I bought, rather than constantly having to repurchases cheaply made items.
This is especially important when it comes to budgeting!
It’s not about the cost of the item, but the cost per use.
Sure, maybe that $10 H&M shirt will look great once… up until it disintegrates in the washer.
But if you were to invest $20-30 into a shirt that you wore 30+ times, then the cost per use goes WAY down.
Of course, I absolutely recognize the privilege of being able to invest in items. Sometimes, splurging for higher quality just isn’t practical.
But if it’s in your budget, or something you can wait and save up for, it’s worth considering the cost per use before purchasing!
That’s why I’ve made a list of Amazon purchases with a wide range of price tags that I truly believe will save you money.

DIY Dip Nail Kit
This is my favorite dip nail kit and it’s so easy to learn to do on your own.
Where I’m from, getting your nails done can cost $80-$100.
At just $20, this is BEYOND worth the price.
Plus you get countless uses from it.
Buy it here!
Cold Brew Maker
This cold brew maker is AWESOME if you are obssesed with Starbucks cold brew, but don’t want to shell out the $5 every day to get your caffeine fix.
This is super affordable and easy to make at night to be ready for you in the morning.
Literally, after using this 3 times instead of going to Starbucks, you’ve made your money back.
12/10 would recommend.
Hydro Flask Dupe – The Iron Flask
Hydro Flasks are super popular right now, but I just can’t justify that $40 price tag.
Luckily, there is a dupe!
The Iron Flask on Amazon has amazing reviews!
(and is half the price)
It comes in SIX different sizes and tons of different colors.
If you were considering investing in a hydro flask, or just want a nice water bottle, this is the place to start! You can also choose your size to fit whatever your needs are.
MacBook Air
Now stick with me on this one…
I know that this is a HUGE investment with a pretty hefty pricetag.
But I truly believe that this is the best investment you can make.
Especially if you work from your computer, or spend tons of time on it.
I got my Macbook almost 5 years ago and it still works exactly the same as the day that I bought it.
This is where cost-per-use really makes a difference.
In 5 years I have never had any issues and never had to take it to get fixed.
That in and of itself has saved me tons compared to if I spent less on a lower quality computer.
If you’ve never tried a Macbook, and you are looking for a great investment in an awesome laptop that will last you forever, I really think you should look more into the Macbook Air.
It’s cheaper than other versions of Macbooks (like the Pro), and for the average computer user, it will be perfect.
It’s lightweight, super compact and the charge on it lasts forever.
In my opinion, this is definitely one Amazon purchase that will save you money in the long run.
Wool Dryer Balls
These wool dryer balls are a great alternative to dryer sheets!
And the best part is, you buy them once and then you can use them over and over again, rather than having to throw out dryer sheets once you use them.
Plus, these have over 25,000 ratings on Amazon!
You can use them to get wrinkles out of clothes quickly, add essential oils to make clothes smell good, and use them to shorten dry time!
These are worth the small investment and will end up saving you tons of money in the long term when it comes to laundry.
If you’re looking for an environmentally friendly alternative to dryer sheets, or you’re just sick of having to repurchase them all the time, I would check them out.
DIY Matcha Lattes
I don’t know about you, but I have a deep rooted love for anything matcha.
Unfortunately, matcha lattes and frappucinos can run you $6-7 a PIECE!
That’s fine for when I need a quick pick me up every once in a while, but I could drink matcha lattes multiple times a day. And unfortunately, that just doesn’t fit in my budget.
Once I discovered how easy they are to make at home (and how much cheaper) I was hooked.
This matcha costs less than 2-3 matcha lattes at Starbucks, and it will last you so much longer.
I use this to make homemade hot lattes, iced lattes with just some soy milk, matcha and ice, and also matcha water.
You can also blend this with some vanilla syrup, ice and milk to make your own frappucino
*bonus tip: put some half and half or heavy cream in the mix to make it extra creamy like the ones at Starbucks
Matcha is perfect for me because it gives me the energy boost I need without the crash that I get from coffee.
If you are looking to DIY your matcha drinks to save some money, this is the matcha to try!
Ninja Blender System
Okay, so I’m not much of a cook. At all. But when I went vegan I started to cook a lot more at home, and I realized the importance of a good blender.
I wanted a Vitamix, but they are SO expensive.
So my Sophomore year, I bought this Ninja Blender System.
It completely changed the game!
Not only is it basically half the price of the Vitamix, but you get a blender, food processor, and two small blenders!
It’s lasted me YEARS and works just as well as it did on day one.
If you are looking for a high powered blender, but don’t want to put down almost $500 for the Vitamix, look no further!
You can make so many different things with this system, from smoothies to sauces to whatever else people cook.
Reusable Paper Towels
2020 made me see paper products in a whole new light.
We were out of paper towels for MONTHS.
That’s when I discovered these reusable paper towels.
To be honest, I’m not one to keep up with cleaning reusable products, but these you can wash in the dishwasher or the washer!
They are so user friendly and come in a big enough pack that you can always have clean ones handy,
Plus you can use these over and over again. They are great for cleaning up messes in the kitchen, or deeper cleaning jobs around the house.
You will save yourself so much money over time with these, plus you never have to worry about running out of paper towels now!
Reusable Makeup Remover Pads
I can’t even begin to tell you how much I have spent on makeup remover wipes.
I’ll be honest, I’m not that great about remembering to wash my face at night. I want to take my makeup off, throw on some moisturizer, and call it good.
Therefore, I use to go through a LOT of makeup wipes.
Then I discovered that Amazon sells these Reusable Makeup Remover Pads that you just wet and they magically take off your makeup!
They come with a little pouch to put them in, you just toss them in the washer when you are done, and you can use them over and over.
I absolutely love them. Usually I just keep one next to the shower, get it wet while I’m in there, and take my makeup off that way!
Plus, for me they work as a gentle exfoliant too. Their dual function means not only am I saving tons of money on makeup remover wipes, but I also don’t have to invest in expensive exfoliators!
If you’re looking to simplify your skincare and/or makeup routine, I would highly suggest you check them out.
Wrinkle Release Spray
Let’s just be honest, I don’t have time to iron anything. Ever. If it needs ironing, there’s a 100% chance I’m not going to mess around with it.
That’s where this magic Wrinkle Release Spray comes in.
I hate that feeling when you are running late for work and just looking for something cute to throw on and go, and you realize that every shirt you have is a wrinkled mess.
Ain’t nobody got time for that.
This wrinkle release spray save you so much time and money (PLUS it smells super yummy).
If you can’t be bothered to iron, trust me, you need this.
Spray it, let it hang dry for 10-15 minutes while you get ready, and throw it on before running out the door.
Kindle
My partner got me a Kindle for Christmas a few years ago, and it has come in handy for so many different things!
I use the Kindle Paperwhite and I absolutely love it! I can take it anywhere, it’s water resistant, and super easy to throw in my bag.
Plus, did you know that Kindle has tons of free books that you can download??
On top of that, all other Kindle books are so much cheaper than hardback and most paper print books.
Even though it was a gift, I would buy it in a heartbeat knowing how convenient it has been and how much money I have saved.
If you love reading, or want to start reading more, I definitely recommend looking into getting one.
YNAB (You Need A Budget)
Speaking of reading…
The one purchase that really has saved me the MOST money is YNAB (You Need a Budget)
And I don’t say that lightly.
Within 2 months of using YNAB, I saved almost $5,000 and paid off $10,000 of personal loan (credit card) debt.
Yeah. No joke. It truly changed my life.
This book is AMAZING if you are new to budgeting or are looking to really step up your budgeting game. It’s entertaining, gets to the point, but feels personal.
If I were to recommend one thing for you to spend your money on, it would be that.
You can also DOUBLE the YNAB fun and sign up here to get YNAB for FREE for a month. No credit card needed. If you love it, great. If you hate it, no worries! You don’t have to risk being charged!
I could sing YNAB praises for forever.
But I think you get the point.
Moving on…
The Rain Straw
This straw is MAGICAL!
I’m embarrassed to admit how many reusable straws I have thrown out due to fear about what is stuck inside of them.
It’s just suspicious…
How are you supposed to know if they are really clean??
Well come to find out, someone already solved this problem for me.
These Reusable Straws actually snap open for easy and thorough cleaning!
How genius? No more wasted reusable straws!
This keeps my mind at ease and is on par with the price of other reusable straws. Definitely worth the investment that will save you money (and if you’re like me, anxiety) over time!
Saalt Cup
If you are someone who gets your period, you KNOW how expensive period products can be.
I really hate tampons, but for the longest time I thought those were really my only option to keep everything contained.
That’s when I discovered the Saalt Cup.
I’ve tried SO many different period cups. You name it, I’ve tried it.
Nothing that I have tried beats the Saalt Cup.
Not only is it so much more convenient, so much more comfortable, and only has to be changed once every 12 hours, it also saves you TONS of money not having to repurchase products every month.
If you’re annoyed af with tampons, I highly recommend checking this out. It’s the most user friendly one I’ve tried. Even though there is a learning curve to it, once you get the hang of it, you won’t want to go back.
Tile Mate
Let’s be honest here, we have all lost our keys, wallet and/or phone and wished we had a way to track it down.
Luckily with the iPhone, there is a way to hunt it down when it’s lost. But what about those other essential things that seem to lose themselves??
It can get so expensive to replace your car keys or restock your makeup after you’ve lost your makeup bag.
That’s where the Tile Mate comes in.
Honestly, this product is just genius. I wish I had thought of it. You can attach this to your purse, keys, wallet, umbrella, kid’s favorite toy, literally whatever it is that you don’t want to lose.
There are so many different ways to find your lost items using Tile. They even have a Tile Community that can help you locate your lost items!
If you are like me and somehow lose everything, this is worth every penny.
Satin Pillow Cases
For around $4/piece, these satin pillow cases are inexpensive and amazing for your hair and skin!
We have three sets of these that way we always have them on our pillows.
They tame frizz and also keep your skin more hydrated than with regular cotton pillow cases.
